d.
Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
*IIKE
600 Town Center Parkway
CITY F Lino Lakes, MN 55014
N (651) 982-2440 Fax (651) 982-2439
June 27, 1999
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director
SUBJECT: Trails Update
Otter Lake Road
This trail is located on the eastern side of the realigned Otter Lake Road. The trail runs from
Cedar Street to Main Street and will be constructed within the next few weeks.
Lilac Street
This trail is located on the north side of Lilac Street from Palomino Lane to Mustang Lane. Only
the bituminous will be laid, since the Class 5 sub base was installed last year.
Marshan Park
This trail connection will connect Marshan Park to the Stage Coach trail cul-de-sac. This will
provide a trail connection to the trail system adjacent to Marshan Lake. This trail connection
will be located within the park property that was deeded to the city this past winter.
Wenzel Farms Trail
The damaged trees located to the south of the creek were recently cleared. The Parks
Department will plan on stump grinding the trees and removing the remaining debris in this area.
We still plan on installing the pedestrian bridge this fall. Additional funding will need to be
secured to create the bituminous trails to complete this trail loop.
Birch Park
There is still no progress in acquiring land to connect the Trapper's Crossing Development to
Birch Park.
sw/prkbrd/July Trails Update.doc
