n <br /> Council Membersergeson introduced the following resolution and moved <br /> its adoption: <br /> CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 99 -21 <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL <br /> RESOURCES METRO GREENWAYS PLANNING GRANT SUBMITTAL <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes has a vast and extensive natural resource heritage, <br /> AND WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes natural resource heritage is a critical <br /> component in maintaining the area's high quality of life, its economic and environmental <br /> vitality, <br /> AND WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes has provided funding over the last two years <br /> for the extensive study of the natural resource base and the development of a <br /> Management Plan for these resources, <br /> AND WHERAES, the preservation development process developed in our management <br /> plan includes the need to refine site boundaries and update restoration efforts into our <br /> inventory, <br /> AND WHEREAS,Anoka County Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park includes <br /> 2600 acres of dedicated resource with several large recreational lakes, <br /> AND WHEREAS,Anoka County Parks has developed a similar resource inventory and <br /> management plan simultaneously with the City of Lino Lakes, <br /> AND WHEREAS, the City will be collaborating in resource management efforts with <br /> Anoka County, and the Rice Creek Watershed District, and there is a need for support <br /> tools by both Anoka County and The City of Lino Lakes, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: Supports the grant proposal to the Minnesota Department <br /> of Natural Resources for a planning grant for the purchase of needed equipment under <br /> the Conservation Partners Program. <br />
