Program Aighlights - , fay Park Board Update <br /> X egistration is currently underway for all of our summer programs.-We have <br /> had a lot of positive response to our summer programs and have even had to add <br /> a few new classes to meet the demand.Summer programs begin June 14. <br /> Youth Programs <br /> Soccer.Fundamentals:four classes will be offered this summer.At this time,two classes are full and <br /> the other two have only a few spaces left.We were fortunate to be able to higher some Centennial <br /> Varsity Soccer Team players to instruct this beginning soccer class. <br /> Preschool Playtime:This popular program is back again this summer. 19 preschoolers are currently <br /> registered in this program.Participants spend time learning and playing in this unique summer <br /> program that emphasizes social as well as play skills. <br /> Playaround Program:X eglstration started off slow for this program,but is quickly picking up.Six <br /> sites will be hosting the playground program this summer. A few of the sites already have over 20 <br /> registered participants and our summer brochure has only just been mailed. We are excited about <br /> the changes that have been made to this program and are looking forward to a great summer. <br /> Ovt� lops:This new full-day program at,Rice bake Elementary has had a lot of positive response. <br /> At this time.33 out ofthe 40 spaces for this program have been filled.Participants In this program <br /> will be experiencing a variety of activities this summer that include field trips,specialty programs, <br /> theme meek activities and naturalist programs. <br /> 1louth T ennis Lessons:We have had to add to the number oflessons we have advertised.These <br /> lessons have solid registration numbers and we are making every effort to keep the participant/ <br /> Instructor ration at 8 to 1. <br /> Youth GolfLessons:Golf is extremely popular at the present time.All classes are full and we will <br /> be attempting to accommodate additional participants with additional classes. <br /> TBall:Our TBall classes are felled to capacity with limited options for additional classes.-We will <br /> attempt to offer additional classes later In the season based upon interest from participants. ;It the <br /> present time,we have 275 children enrolled In this program. <br /> Xite Day,:Xite Day is scheduled for Saturday,June 5.It is anticipated to have 300 kite flying <br /> enthusiasts during the course of the day.The Lino Lakes Lions Club and,Mountain Enterprises <br /> have made generous contributions to keep this event free for families. <br /> .adult Programs <br /> Adult Softball The final numbers for registration are as folloros,co rec teams 10 teams,men's <br /> teams-41 teams.The co-rec numbers are two teams lower than last season,but our men's teams are <br /> UP by four teams. <br /> Adult GolfLessons:Once again,these lessons are very popular.A majority ofthese lessons are <br /> filled.
