CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MARCH 17, 1999 <br /> n <br /> scheduled for April 14, 1999. The zoning amendment will then go before council for the <br /> first and second reading. The zoning amendment could be effective in June, 1999. <br /> A site plan submission for the building is due on April 19, 1999, for the May 12, 1999, <br /> Planning and Zoning Board meeting. The actions necessary will include a rezone, site <br /> plan approval, and conditional use permit. <br /> The land sale could occur after the second reading of the zoning amendment. The Legion <br /> could then obtain a building permit and could possibly occupy the building by October, <br /> 1999. Brian noted there has not been an official appraisal of the property. The <br /> preliminary figure used for the sale is $2.00 per square foot, plus assessments. <br /> It was the consensus of Council to have staff obtain an official appraisal of the land. <br /> Kim noted she would like have a representative from the American Legion appear to <br /> make their case. <br /> Andy asked Brian to put together a schedule and estimates of the land value in a memo <br /> for the Legion. <br /> RESHANAU LAKE TRAIL UPDATE,LINDA WAITE SMITH <br /> Linda distributed a memo which contained an update on the Reshanau Trail activities that <br /> have taken place in response to the:March 2 1999, meeting between the City Council and <br /> the Reshanau Lake Homeowners Association. <br /> DISCUSS DATE FOR THECIL FINANCIAL WORK SESSION,LINDA <br /> WAITE SMITH <br /> Linda advised that Daryl ulander has requested the Council Financial Work Session not <br /> be scheduled U11411ahe.audif ors are done. A preliminary audit report will be completed by <br /> mid April. <br /> It was the consensus'of the Council to schedule the Council Financial Work Session <br /> April 19, 1999. <br /> DISCUSS FIVE YEAR FINANCIAL PLAN,LINDA WAITE SMITH <br /> Linda distributed a draft of what she anticipates will be in the Five Year Financial Plan. <br /> She stated Jean has sent a request for information regarding a Five Year Financial Plan to <br /> Financial Officers in other cities. She stated the Plan will include Charter language, <br /> Public Service Program elements,Department Objectives, Development of Revenues and <br /> Special Revenue Estimates, a Capital Improvement Program, and Capital Budget. <br /> 3 <br />
