j
Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
7204 Lake Drive
C ITY'' Y O F Lino Lakes, MN 55014
KE (651) 780-1885 Fax (651) 784-7227 IN(),
April 28, 1999
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director
SUBJECT: Discussion of Proposed Behm's Century Farm Park
The meeting to discuss the future of Behm's Century Farm Park will be held on Monday, May 3,
1999, at 6pm. Area residents were sent out an informational letter on April 15, 1999.
Attached is the revised concept plan. The current proposal proposes selling six residential lots
along Mustang Lane and three lots along Palomino Lane.
We will identify to what extent the development of this park will occur should the city agree to
sell the nine lots. I expect that the park area could be graded, seeded, playground equipment
installed, and a majority of the trail system installed yet this year.
The proposed nine lots consists of 2.23 acres. According to the Anoka County Assessor, the
current estimated value of existing residential property that is non-water and sewer is
approximately $7,000 per acre. The 2.23 acre land would equate to $15,610. Construction costs
for the proposed improvements will be provided at the neighborhood meeting. I anticipate the
development costs paid by the developer to be approximately$75,000.
RD:sw
sw/parkbrdBehm's Century Farm Proposal 4-28-99.doe
ir\
