Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
7204 Lake Drive
CITY tKE0 F Lino Lakes, MN 55014
I V (651) 780-1885 Fax (651) 784-7227
LIMarch 31, 1999
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director
SUBJECT: Review Block Party Wagon Policies and Application Form
The Circle-Lex Lions Club approached the Parks and Recreation Department to investigate the
possibility of providing a community party wagon to area residents.
The Circle-Lex Lions Club has agreed to purchase a community party wagon and furnish a
variety of equipment. This contribution amounts to $10,945.
Applications will be available at the Parks and Recreation Building. Applications received by
April 16 will be processed in random order on April 19. Block Party applications will receive
priority over individual applications. Also, there will be no fee to reserve the party wagon for a
neighborhood block party. A nominal fee will be required for an individual event such as a
graduation party or family reunion.
The party wagon will be available for use from June 1 - September 15. The Parks and
Recreation Department will coordinate the scheduling and delivery of this exciting new amenity.
Residences and businesses located within the City of Lino Lakes, City of Circle Pines, and City
of Lexington, and the portion of Blaine located east of 35W are eligible to use the party wagon.
I would be happy to hear any comments or suggestions the park Board may have.
RD:sw
sw/parkbrd/Review Block Parry Wagon Policies and Application Fortn.doc
