COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 22, 1999 <br /> PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT, DAVE PECCHIA <br /> Conditional Job Offer for Police Officer Position - Mr. Pecchia recommended the City make a <br /> conditional job offer to Mr. Steve Bikkie for full-time licensed Police Officer, contingent upon a <br /> successful medical exam. <br /> Mr. Pecchia noted a background investigation has been completed. Mr. Bikkie successfully <br /> completed the background investigation, a psychological evaluation, and is scheduled for a <br /> physical exam. <br /> Council Member Dahl moved to approve the recommendation for a conditional job offer to Mr. <br /> Steve Bikkie for a full-time licensed Police Officer, contingent upon a successful medical exam. <br /> Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br /> Consideration of Approving Phone Read System -Mr. DeGardner stated that after much <br /> discussion and research, staff is requesting that the Council approve a program to convert to an <br /> automatic water meter reading system. This new system will_improve the quality of water <br /> service and the accuracy and efficiency of the City's waster billing. <br /> Mr. DeGardner stated that if approved,the?'hone Read System will be phased in over the next <br /> four(4)years. Route 5 will be converted this spring. <br /> Council Member Lyden moved to authorize�staff to begin conversion to automatic meter reading <br /> system. Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS-None', <br /> NEW BUSINESS, <br /> Consideration of February 3, 1999, Special Council Meeting Minutes (Council Member <br /> Neal was absent) - Council Member Dahl moved to approve the February 3, 1999, Special <br /> Council Meeting Minutes, as presented.
