COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 8, 1999 <br /> n <br /> Check, and Medical and Psychological exam. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPORT, RICK DEGARDNER <br /> Consideration of Circle Pines Park Property Lease- Mr. DeGardner stated the proposed lease <br /> allows the City of Lino Lakes to construct a playground area and a half court basketball court <br /> immediately behind the wellhouse on Sandhill Drive. The trail will permit residents easy access <br /> to Baldwin Park which consists of a baseball field,playground equipment, and a hockey rink. <br /> The term of the lease is for a period of 25 years with the City of Lino Lakes having the option to <br /> extend the term of the lease for an additional 15 years. The cost of this agreement is $1.00 per <br /> year. <br /> Mr. DeGardner noted the City of Lino Lakes will be responsible for the improvements and <br /> maintenance of this area. <br /> Council Member Bergeson moved to approve the authorization of the Mayor and City <br /> Administrator to enter into the Circle Pines Park Property Lease. Council Member Lyden <br /> seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Consideration of Accepting 1999 Park Board Goals -Mr. DeGardner referred to a list of the <br /> 1999 Park Board Goals that were approved by the Park Board on March 1, 1999. <br /> Mr. DeGardner asked Council to accept the 1999 Park Board Goals. <br /> Council Member Lyden moved to accept the 1999 Park Board Goals, as presented. Council <br /> Member Bergeson seconded the.motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Consideration of Awardin 'Playground Equipment Bid-Mr. DeGardner stated that on <br /> Friday, February 26, 1999, 10:00 a.m.,bids were opened for the 1999 playground equipment <br /> projects. There were three(3)2 companies submitting proposals for two (2)playground sites <br /> being upgraded this year. <br /> Staff recommended Council award the following park projects: <br /> Marshan Park Flanagan Sales, Inc. (Little Tikes) $27,000 <br /> Arena Acres Park Flanagan Sales, Inc. (Little Tikes) $20,000 <br /> Council Member Bergeson moved to award the contracts to the projects, as presented,to <br /> Flanagan Sales, Inc. Council Member Lyden seconded the motion.
