The primary purpose of this program is to complete trail connections
between where people live(residential areas) and significant public recreation facilities (parks
and other trails). Priority will be given to residential connections to state and regionally
significant facilities.
Staff has identified several possible trail connections to the county trail system. I encourage
input regarding these trail connections.
This grant program requires a 50 percent match commitment. The deadline to submit an
application is February 28, 1999. The construction must be completed no later than June 30,
2002. Grant awards will be announced in July, 1999.
sw/parkbrd/Memo to PB Submitting DNR Trail Linkage Grant.doc
/'-\
