Re: Review and Comment on Clearwater Creek Proposal Dear Jeff, As requested,.Steve Afpelbaum and I reviewed the latest version of Clearwater Creek 3`d Addition. The following'defines_our impressions of the plan. General Overview The plan.has captured.-many of the most substantial of the general opportunities proposed for consideration during the community-design charette::that.focused on-this project. This-was interesting, to see in that the charette design was conceptual and left much open to interpretation. Key features of the new plan that,we noticed include the inclusion of: ► Many of the key natural resource features identified during the.charette. ► Introduction of important ecological buffers. ► Stormwater management treatment-train conceptual ideas. Extensive linear greenway opportunities. Significant natural open space areas and, to a lesser degree, neighborhood park space. We did see, however,`a number of opportunities to fine tune the plan from the perspective of ecology, parks, trails, and open space.The following considers these opportunities. Potential Areas of Plan Refinement to Foster the - Principles of Conservation Development The following defines a number of areas where the plan could be revised to better accommodate the principles of conservation development(in no particular order); 10.
