Program Tjighligyits <br /> r5pecial Events <br /> Breakfast with Santa: 108 people were served at this years event. Children made <br /> ornaments, decorated gingerbread cookies and had their picture taken with Santa. <br /> ►�3 Special thanks to Peg Smith and all of the volunteers for their help and hard work. <br /> Letters from Santa: 128 letters from Santa were mailed from our office this year- <br /> +^ each one written especially for the receiver with words composed by"Santa." <br /> Toys for Tots: 2 pick-up truck loads of toys were collected this year for the United <br /> States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Thanks to everyone who donated. <br /> /l`�'Holiday Lighting Contest: 15 entries were received this year from Lino Lakes and <br /> Circle Pines residents. Prizes were awarded to the top four winners. Sponsors <br /> included: NSP, Minnegasco, and Connexus Energy. <br /> Winter Programs <br /> Wild Away For A Day Trips: The snow and cold weather arrived just in time for our , <br /> December 30 tripto Trollhau en Ski Area. Other winter trips planned include: �' 71 <br /> gP �X <br /> AVL 7/1E <XQ1 <br /> Winter Discovery, Be My Valentine and additional ski trips. <br /> Warming Houses: The unseasonably warm weather caused some delay in the opening r? <br /> of the warming house shelters,but with the recent cold snap we have been able to <br /> place several floods on each rink. The shelters opened on December 26. <br /> Open Gym Programs: Basketball, Volleyball and Family Open Gym have started. <br /> Basketball and volleyball have had solid attendance. Family Open Gym attendance <br /> s is, however, lower than anticipated -which may be a result of its new location. <br /> *Winter Volleyball. 8 teams are registered this season. This is consistent with past years. <br /> Registration: Outdoor activity registration is slower than expected,which is most ' <br /> likely due to the warm weather.
