loan, travel, entertainment, hospitality, promise or any other <br />form, under circumstances in which it could be reasonably inferred <br />that the gift was intended to influence him or her, or could <br />r-� reasonably be expected to influence him or her in the performance <br />of his or her official duties or was intended as a reward for any <br />official action on his or her part. <br />Subdivision 3. Private Interests. No person covered by <br />this code shall appear on behalf of another's private interest <br />before the council, and a committee, commission or agency of the <br />city, nor shall he or she represent another private interest in <br />any action or proceeding against the interest of the city in which <br />the city is a party. <br />Subdivision 4. Privileges. No person covered by this <br />code shall use his or her position to secure special privileges or <br />exemptions for himself or others. <br />Subdivision 5. City Property. No person covered by this <br />code shall request or permit the use of city -owned vehicles, <br />equipment, materials, or property for personal convenience or <br />profit, except when such services are available to the public <br />generally or are provided as municipal policy for the use of such <br />official or employee in the conduct of official business. <br />Subdivision 6. Equal Treatment. No person covered by <br />this code shall grant any special consideration, treatment, or <br />advantage to any citizen beyond that which is available to every <br />other citizen. <br />-42- <br />
