Setbacks <br />The setbacks for accessory buildings are established per zoning district. A typical R-1, <br />Single Family Residential District requires a 5 foot side and 5 foot rear setback. <br />Accessory buildings are not allowed in the front yard. <br />Requested Council Direction <br />Staff seeks Council direction as to whether the ordinance should be amended per the <br />following discussions had by the Planning & Zoning Board on October 9, 2013. <br />1.Should the allowed square footage of accessory buildings and garages be based on <br />the percentage of total lot area orbuildable land? <br />P&Z BoardRecommendation: <br />No change.
