CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 21-78 <br /> APPROVING APPLICATION FOR A TEMPORARY ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE <br /> AND A SPECIAL EVENT FOR THE AMERICAN LEGION FAMILY FUN DAYS <br /> AUGUST 20—21,2021 <br /> WHEREAS, the Commander of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application for a <br /> special event permit; and <br /> WHEREAS,the event plan includes live music outside from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, <br /> August 20, and Saturday,August 21, 2021; and <br /> WHEREAS, applicant has indicated that all patrons or members attending the event will receive <br /> a proper identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; and <br /> WHEREAS, applicant will ensure that event is compliant with City Ordinance 901.03 (4a) Public <br /> Nuisances Affecting Peace and Safety; and <br /> WHEREAS,proof of general liability insurance has been submitted by the American Legion to <br /> cover all events held on their property as well as the event held on city property; <br /> WHEREAS, applicant has requested to use the City's property on the corner of 77th and Lake <br /> Drive to hold a movie night on Friday, August 20 as well as use the lot for overflow parking <br /> Saturday, August 21; and <br /> WHEREAS, Alcohol will not be allowed on City property; and <br /> WHEREAS, city property shall be left in the same condition it is found. The applicant will need <br /> to fence off the garden area containing water spigots with orange construction fence to avoid any <br /> damage. <br /> WHEREAS,the Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has the following conditions: <br /> (1) The applicant has plans for parking vehicles including size and location of lots, <br /> points of access; and proof of permission for use of property upon which the special <br /> event is to be held or upon which parking may occur, and in the case of County <br /> right-of-way,proper documentation from the County approving the plans. <br /> (2) Applicant will provide security on premise ensuring there is no violations of laws <br /> and ordinances or disruptive behavior. <br /> (3) Applicant will provide all staff and/or volunteers working this event with training <br /> that focuses on prevention of over service of alcohol and other means to safely serve <br /> customers. <br /> (4) Plans for sound control and sound amplification, if any, including number, location, <br /> and power of amplifiers and speakers; all reasonably necessary precautions shall be <br /> taken by the applicant to insure that the sound of the assembly will not carry <br /> unreasonably beyond the enclosed boundaries of the location of the assembly. <br />
