CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 21-80 <br /> APPROVING APPLICATION FOR A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT <br /> FOR AN EVENT HELD AT THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 566 <br /> ON AUGUST 27,2021 <br /> WHEREAS,the Commander of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application for a <br /> special event permit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the event plan includes a DJ music outside from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, <br /> August 27, 2021; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Legion has indicated that all patrons or members attending the event will <br /> receive a proper identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Public Safety Department has reviewed plans for the event and has provided <br /> conditions for the permit: and <br /> WHEREAS,Applicant will ensure that event is compliant with City Ordinance 901.03 (4a)Public <br /> Nuisances Affecting Peace and Safety; and <br /> WHEREAS, Food truck vendors are required to contact the Anoka County Environmental <br /> Services at 763-324-4260 for permission to operate in the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Food truck vendors are required to provide state licensing information as well as <br /> Anoka County Environmental Services licensing to the American Legion Post 566; and <br /> WHEREAS, Food vendors are required to be at least 20 feet from structures; and <br /> WHEREAS,Applicant will follow State Fire Code for tents to ensure that the event is conducted in <br /> manner that meets the MN State Fire Code. Minimum of three 2A10BC fire extinguishers need to <br /> be on location in the tent area,"No Smoking" signs need to be displayed throughout the area,No <br /> pyrotechnics are allowed,No parking within 20 feet of the tent. Measured from stakes, <br /> Clearance to property line needed to 20 feet. Measured from stakes; Certificate of flame <br /> retardant for all panels of tent; and <br /> WHEREAS, Telephone service shall be in place sufficient to connect to emergency services; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Event will end as articulated in the application; and <br /> WHEREAS,proof of general liability insurance has been submitted by the American Legion to <br /> cover all events held on their property. <br />
