<br /> <br /> <br />DATE: August 4, 2021 <br /> <br />TO: Park Board Members <br /> <br />FROM: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br /> <br />RE: Park Naming Process <br /> <br /> <br />The Park Board created a process for naming the new park at Centerville Road and Birch Street as <br />well as considering the renaming of City Hall Park during the June, 2021 Park Board meeting. <br />Attached is the pdf file currently posted on the city’s website. <br /> <br />The following names were submitted for consideration: <br />Centerville Road and Birch Street Park (1750 Birch Street) <br />Tower Park <br />Lake Amelia Park <br />Blue Heron Park <br />Savannah Park <br />Prairies Edge Park <br />Fire Tower Park <br />Courtside Park <br />Firefighters Memorial Park <br />Hero Park <br />Tower’s Edge Park <br />Center Birch Park <br />Legacy Park <br />Recreation Park <br />Heritage Park <br />Generations Park <br />First Responder Park <br />Serenity Park <br />Freedom Park <br />Field of Dreams Park/Recreation Complex <br /> <br /> <br />City Hall Park (1189 Main Street) <br />City Hall Park <br />Rondeau Lake Park <br />Parky McPark Park <br />Old City Hall Park <br />Main Street Park <br />Legacy Park <br />Officer Shawn Silvera Park <br />Park on Main <br /> <br />The next step in this process is for the Park Board to create a list of finalists for residents to vote <br />on. Beginning August 9, Lino Lakes residents will be able to cast their votes for their top name <br />choice for each park. The link will be available on the city website (www.linolakes.us) under the <br />News and Announcements tab. Residents will have until Thursday, August 26 to vote. <br /> <br />The Park Board will review the results at their September 1 meeting, and prepare a <br />recommendation for City Council consideration that will be placed on the September 13 City <br />Council meeting agenda.
