LINO LAKES PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> PROGRAM PLANNING FORM <br /> Program: Wild Away for a Day <br /> Season: Summer Year: 1995 Location: Metro Facilities <br /> Time (s) : Daytime weekdays <br /> Possible Conflicts with facilities? <br /> The requirement is to contact the facilities that appeal to <br /> the target audience. <br /> Program goals & Objectives : <br /> This program is intended to give the resident an exciting <br /> opportunity to visit metro area amusement parks . The people <br /> who attend these trips may not have another opportunity to <br /> attend these parks/centers . <br /> Program Needs and possible impacts: <br /> the search starts in January for fun and reputable <br /> parks/center who can accommodate a large group of young <br /> people in a controlled safe environment . <br /> Safety: <br /> As mentioned above, the facility must have a good reputation <br /> of being clean, safe and enjoyable . On these trips it is <br /> attempted to have a student to staff ratio of 1-8 . the <br /> supervisor is equipped with a mobile telephone for <br /> emergencies . Every person who attends one of these trips <br /> has a wrist band placed on them. The information on the <br /> wrist bands is the group name, address and phone numbers of <br /> the main office and the mobile phone number. The staff are <br /> given a bag with first aid kit, administrative folder, <br /> mobile phone map of facility, bus company phone number and <br /> reports . <br /> Maintenance: <br /> Non needed for this program <br /> Staff Needs : <br /> As mentioned is the safety section, the staff needs in <br /> addition to all the safety items are to be well informed of <br /> the particular trip. A meeting is set with the supervisor <br /> and the staff to outline the entire trip. <br /> Management : <br /> It is important to confirm each trip approximately two days <br /> prior to the event.
