LINO LAKES PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> PROGRAM PLANNING FORM <br /> Program: Youth USTA Tennis Program <br /> Season: Summer Year: 1995 Location: Centennial Tennis <br /> Courts Time (s) : Varied afternoon <br /> Possible Conflicts with facilities? <br /> At this time, Our department has not experienced conflicts <br /> with other agencies or securing this facility. <br /> Program goals & Objectives : <br /> This program is intended to give tennis enthusiasts the <br /> opportunity to increagQ there skill of tennI8 by hAvl j <br /> practice sessions as W@11 Ag qA1ft@ @@%@q 8R§ 8 <br /> programs. <br /> Program Needs and possible impacts : <br /> As always, a quality instructor is very important. The <br /> tennis courts that our used are very good and well <br /> maintained. Transportation for this program will be sought <br /> and secured for the participants . <br /> Safety: <br /> Our instructor is equipped with a sponge roller for excess <br /> water that might be on the court and a push broom just in <br /> case of lose material or foreign objects are on the courts . <br /> Also, only the safest techniques are taught . The <br /> instructors also teach preventive skills to avoid injuries . <br /> Maintenance: <br /> The courts that this program uses at Centennial High School <br /> are maintained by the school districts maintenance crews and <br /> do a nice job for us . The other locations in other city' s <br /> are also in good shape. <br /> Staff Needs: <br /> The park and recreation department equips the staff with the <br /> necessary equipment such as tennis balls, court broom and <br /> sponge. Also the staff of this program has in there <br /> possession a class list, first aid kit and reports, <br /> discipline reports, supervisor phone numbers, facility use <br /> form, program and game schedule. If the instructor finds it <br /> necessary for additional equipment or information they have <br /> the freedom to ask his/her supervisor. <br /> Management: <br /> The instructor is in charge of the daily practices . A pre <br /> '101*N season meeting is held between the instructor and the <br />
