LINO LAKES PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> PROGRAM PLANNING FORM <br /> Program: Youth & Adult Tennis Lesions <br /> Season: Summer Year: 1995 Location: Centennial and Arena <br /> Acres Time (s) : Varied afternoon and early evening <br /> Possible Conflicts with facilities? <br /> At this time, since offering tennis lesions at either of <br /> these locations . Our department has not experienced <br /> conflicts with other agencies or securing the facilities . <br /> Program goals & Objectives : <br /> This program is intended to give tennis enthusiasts the <br /> opportunity to learn more and increase there skill in the <br /> game of tennis . <br /> Program Need and possible impacts : <br /> As always, a quality instructor is very important. The <br /> tennis courts that our used are very good and well <br /> maintained. <br /> Safety: <br /> Our instructor is equipped with a sponge roller for excess <br /> water that might be on the court and a push broom just in <br /> case of lose material or foreign objects are on the courts . <br /> Also only the safest techniques are taught. The instructors <br /> also teach preventive skills to avoid injuries . <br /> Maintenance: <br /> The courts at Arena Acres are city property and are <br /> maintained by city staff. These courts have been resurfaced <br /> recently and our in good shape. The additional courts that <br /> our used at Centennial High School are maintained by the <br /> school districts maintenance crews and do a nice job for us . <br /> Staff Needs : <br /> The park and recreation department equips the staff with the <br /> necessary equipment such as tennis balls, court broom and <br /> sponge . Also the staff of this program has in there <br /> possession a class list, first aid kit and reports, <br /> discipline reports, supervisor phone numbers, facility use <br /> form, program schedule. If the instructor finds it <br /> necessary for additional equipment or information they have <br /> the freedom to ask his/her supervisor. <br /> Management: <br /> The instructor is in charge of the daily practices . A pre <br /> season meeting is held between the instructor and the <br />
