when batting and on the first day the coaches cover the <br /> rules to obey when participating in this program. <br /> Maintenance: <br /> The fields will need to be mowed during this program and <br /> once a week it would be beneficial to have the ballfield <br /> maintenance person drag out each field that this program <br /> intends on using. These fields will not be chalked or lined <br /> at any time of this program. <br /> Staff Needs : <br /> The park and recreation department equips the staff with the <br /> necessary equipment such as baseballs & softballs, bats, <br /> batting helmets, t-ball tees, bases . Also the staff of this <br /> program has in there possession a class list, first aid kit <br /> and reports, discipline reports, supervisor phone numbers, <br /> facility use form, program and game schedule. If the <br /> instructor finds it necessary for additional equipment or <br /> information they have the freedom to ask his/her supervisor. <br /> Management: <br /> The instructor (s) are in charge of the daily practices . A <br /> pre season meeting is held between the coaches and the <br /> recreation program supervisor to discuss the practice and <br /> game schedule and what will be the context and intent of <br /> this program. It is also available for these coaches to <br /> attend a National Youth Sports Coaching Clinic for no <br /> charge. At the meeting with the coaches and the recreation <br /> program supervisor it is discusses what is expected of the <br /> coach (s) . If a class has to be rescheduled due to the <br /> weather, the park and recreation department makes up the <br /> rescheduled class (s) and informs the coach (s) . If the <br /> participants have a question if the class is going to be <br /> held or not they are to contact the "Hotline" number.
