CITY COUNCIL <br /> 0 AGENDA ITEM 1F <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR: Katie Larsen, City Planner <br /> MEETING DATE: August 23, 2021 <br /> TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 21-88 Extending the Recording <br /> Date for the PUD Final Plan/Final Plat of Natures Refuge <br /> VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The developer, Preferred Builders, Inc., is requesting an additional 90 day extension for <br /> recording the PUD Final Plan/Final Plat of Natures Refuge. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On September 14, 2020, the City Council passed Resolution No. 20-81 approving the PUD <br /> Final Plan/Final Plat for Natures Refuge. Per Subdivision Ordinance Section 1001.059(3),the <br /> developer shall record the plat within 90 days after the date of approval, otherwise the approval <br /> 411 of the final plat shall be considered void, unless the developer requests and receives an <br /> extension from the City Council. On December 14, 2020,the City Council passed Resolution <br /> No. 20-161 extending the recording date to March 13, 2021. On March 22, 2021, Council <br /> approved Resolution No. 21-24 extending the recording date another 90 days to June 11, 2021. <br /> On June 14, 2021,the City Council passed Resolution No. 21-54 extending the recording date <br /> another 90 days to September 12, 2021. <br /> Staff recently met with the developer and potential new partner/developer. They are asking for <br /> another 90 day extension to finalize their purchase agreement and record the final plat. <br /> An additional 90 day extension would make the new recording deadline December 11, 2021. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 21-88 granting an additional 90 day extension to <br /> December 11, 2021 for recording the final plat and related documents for Natures Refuge. <br /> ATTACHMENTS <br /> 1.
