<br />Based on discussions with other municipalities who wish to have repr esentation on the <br />Rice Creek Watershed Board of Managers, the cities of Circle Pines and Blaine will also <br />be nominating an individual. The cities of Centerville, Lexington and Spring Lake Park <br />have indicated that they will support nominees from a jointly submitted list. <br /> <br />In the past, the City Council has chosen not to exercise its authority under M.S. <br />§103D.311 to submit a list of nominees to fill the vacancy from which the County must <br />appoint, but forwarded a recommendation for appointment or reappointment to the <br />County. To help ensure the County considers a Lino Lakes nominee, staff is <br />recommending jointly submitting a list with surrounding communities. <br /> <br />A draft resolution submitting a list of nominees to Anoka County for consideration is <br />included. <br /> <br />Requested Council Direction <br /> <br />Staff is seeking Council direction on the Rice Creek Watershed District appointment. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Rice Creek Watershed District Map <br />Draft Resolution
