Review Regular Agenda of May 10, 2021 14 <br /> 15 <br />Item 2A – Issuance of Bonds, Series, 2021A – Finance Director Lynch noted that the 16 <br />issuance is related to financing the City’s Street Reconstruction Project. The City’s 17 <br />financial advisor, Terri Heaton of Baker Tilly will be present to review the proposed 18 <br />issuance at the council meeting. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Item 3A – Hiring of Police Officer – Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed the 21 <br />written report recommending the appointment of Daniel Swenson. He reviewed 22 <br />candidate Swenson’s experience and noted that staff is recommending a salary starting at 23 <br />Step 4. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Councilmember Lyden asked about the number of applications normally received for a 26 <br />Lino Lakes police officer opening. Director Swenson explained that the number this 27 <br />time was around 60; they have received more and less than that amount in the past. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Item 4A – Acceptance of Seized Property – Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed 30 <br />the written report. Staff is trying to get the property and evidence room cleared 31 <br />somewhat. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Item 4B – Donation of Seized Property – Public Safety Director Swenson explained 34 <br />that staff has identified a non-profit organization that could use the items for sale at a 35 <br />thrift store. 36 <br /> 37 <br />The council discussed the disposal process for seized firearms and Director Swenson 38 <br />explained his recommendation in that area. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Item 6A – Butler Addition – City Planner Larsen explained the proposal to divide an 41 <br />existing residential lot and the actions being requested. 42 <br /> 43
