CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3C <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton, City Administrator <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: June 28, 2021 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Amendment #4 to Lease Agreement with NCCC, LLC (New <br />Creations Child Care) <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Council is being asked to consider approval of Amendment #4 to the Lease Agreement <br />with NCCC, LLC (New Creations Child Care). <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />In June of 2014, the City of Lino Lakes entered into a lease agreement with New Creations <br />Child Care. The original term of the lease was from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2019. A ten-year <br />extension, with an option to terminate after five years was approved by the City Council on <br />June 25, 2018. <br /> <br />In the Spring of 2021, New Creations Site Management reached out to inquire as to the <br />possibility of leasing additional space from the City. The City still occupied 290 Sq. Ft. of <br />storage space in the New Creations wing of the Civic Complex. Staff reviewed the request and <br />identified an alternative area for storage and has subsequently cleaned out the room for use by <br />New Creations beginning July 1. <br /> <br />Amendment #4 will increase the square footage leased by New Creations from 9,138 Sq. Ft. to <br />9,428 Sq. Ft. Amendment #4 to the Lease Agreement with New Creations will increase the <br />annual rent received by the City of Lino Lakes by approximately $3,000 per year. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve Amendment #4 to the Lease Agreement with NCCC, LLC (New Creations Child <br />Care) <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Lease Amendment #4
