<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1F <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: July 26, 2021 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 21-80, Approving an Application <br />for a Special Event Permit and 1-4 Day Temporary Liquor <br />License for Centennial Dance Team Fundraiser at the <br />American Legion Post 566 <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote Required) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />The Centennial Dance Team has applied for a Special Event Permit to hold a fundraiser <br />at the American Legion Post 566. <br /> <br />Applicant has proposed to fence off a portion of their property to include a tent area <br />outside. <br /> <br />Applicant is proposing to have food trucks. <br /> <br />Applicant has also proposed to have a DJ outside from 4:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. as well as <br />games under the tent on August 27, 2021. <br /> <br />The application has been reviewed by staff, including the public safety department. The <br />applicant has been provided with a list of safety conditions. The applicant has agreed to <br />comply with the conditions and to address any other safety considerations that may arise. <br /> <br />The applicant has provided a Certificate of Insurance covering this event. <br /> <br />Therefore, staff is presenting for city council consideration of a resolution authorizing the <br />issuance of a Special Event Permit for the American Legion Post 566. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 21-80, authorizing issuance of a Special Event Permit for <br />Centennial Dance Team Fundraiser at the American Legion Post 566. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 21-80 <br />American Legion Location Map
