<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1G <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: July 26, 2021 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 21-81, Approving an Application <br />for a Special Event Permit to Living Waters Lutheran <br />Church Summer Outdoor Concert Series <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote Required) <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />Pastor Ivy Huston has applied for a Special Event Permit to hold a summer concert series <br />at Living Waters Lutheran Church on July 28, August 4 and August 11. <br /> <br />Applicant has proposed to have music groups such as a folk/guitar musician, a solo <br />singer/guitarist and the Teddy Bear Band. The events will take place 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 <br />p.m. on designated evenings. <br /> <br />The applicant has proposed to have food trucks at the event as well as informational <br />tables from ABC Preschool and the Boy Scouts. <br /> <br />The application has been reviewed by staff, including the Public Safety Department. The <br />applicant has been provided with a list of safety conditions. The applicant has agreed to <br />comply with the conditions and to address any other safety considerations that may arise. <br /> <br />The applicant has provided a Certificate of Insurance covering this event. <br /> <br />Therefore, staff is presenting for city council consideration of a resolution authorizing the <br />issuance of a Special Event Permit for Living Waters Lutheran Church. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 21-81 authorizing issuance of a Special Event Permit for a <br />Living Waters Lutheran Church Summer Outdoor Concert Series. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 21-81 <br />Living Waters Lutheran Church Location Map <br />
