CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 21-83 APPROVING APPLICATION FOR A SPECIAL EVENT FOR THE BLUE HERON PARADE, AUGUST 21, 2021 WHEREAS, the City has received a parade permit application for a proposed parade along Lake Drive on August 21, 2021; and WHEREAS, the permit application was reviewed for compliance with the City of Lino Lakes code of ordinances; and WHEREAS, the applicant must provide traffic control agents or Public Safety personnel at all intersections requiring traffic control; and WHEREAS, the applicant will provide volunteers to monitor the barricades at all intersections not requiring traffic control personnel; and WHEREAS, the applicant will provide, install and remove barricades, signs and delineation equipment as directed by either Public Works or the Public Safety Department; and WHEREAS, the permit application has been reviewed by the Public Safety Department and Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, the Blue Heron Parade coordinator is required to have proper approvals in place from Kohl’s and Target for use of their property; and WHEREAS, the Blue Heron Parade coordinator has proper approvals in place from the Anoka County Highway Department; and WHEREAS, the Blue Heron Parade coordinator is required to have telephone service in place sufficient to connect to emergency services; and WHEREAS, proof of general liability insurance will be in place to cover the event; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: That the Parade Permit application for the Blue Heron Parade on August 21, 2021 is hereby approved with the above contingencies. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th day of July, 2021.
