CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 21-84 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPENSATION PLAN FOR PAID ON-CALL FIRE PERSONNEL <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has integrated fire services into the Public Safety Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the wages and compensation of paid on-call fire personnel are a vital component of an effective recruitment and retention program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes values a professional and engaged workforce. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that the city hereby amends the compensation plan for paid on-call fire personnel, effective January 1, 2022: <br />Firefighter Per Hour Wage <br />Starting Wage $15.00 <br />Upon completion of 5 years of service $16.50 <br />Upon completion of 10 years of service $17.08 <br />Upon completion of 15 years of service $17.68 <br />Upon completion of 20 years of service $18.29 <br />Fire Officers Monthly Stipend <br />Fire Lieutenant $225.00 <br />District Chief $300.00 <br />FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED that staff will review the compensation plan for paid-on call fire personnel on a biennial basis (every two years) and the City Council will consider whether an amendment is warranted. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 9th day of August, 2021. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br />Cavegn and was duly seconded by Councilmember Ruhland and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Cavegn, Ruhland, Stoesz, Lyden, Rafferty <br />The following voted against same: None <br />______________________________ Rob Rafferty, Mayor ATTEST: <br />_________________________________Julianne Bartell, City Clerk
