<br />3 | P a g e <br /> <br />Pavement Condition Report <br />Existing Pavement Condition <br />This report shows the latest pavement conditions in the City of Lino Lakes. Using PAVER, an <br />asset management software, the condition of the roadways was recorded or estimated. <br />In the field, PAVER calculates PCI by using deduct values. Pavement deduct values are based <br />on the type, severity, and quantity of distresses found in a segment of pavement. These values <br />are subtracted from the perfect score of 100 to determine the PCI of the pavement. Conditions <br />of roadways that were not inspected this year were estimated using the USACE pavement <br />performance curve shown in Figure I. The graph below represents a typical bituminous <br />pavement deterioration rate. Actual rates of deterioration may vary depending on the type of <br />maintenance activities performed on the segment. Maintenance activities increase the PCI and <br />prolong the life of the pavement. <br /> <br />Figure I. Bituminous pavement performance curve applied to all the bituminous <br />roadways in the City of Lino Lakes <br />Table II shows a breakdown of the overall pavement condition in the City. The PCI values <br />obtained were based on visual inspections and the recommended strategies for each category <br />should only be used as a guideline.
