CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 2A <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Hannah Lynch, Finance Director <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: November 8, 2021 <br /> <br />TOPIC: 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 08-21, Establishing the 2022 City <br />Fee Schedule <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The City Council is being asked to approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 08-21, Establishing <br />the 2022 City Fee Schedule. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />In order to provide for a more efficient and timely method of reviewing and adjusting the various <br />fees charged by the City, fees are consolidated into one schedule to be reviewed and adopted on <br />an annual basis. The City’s current fee schedule has been circulated to department directors with <br />a request to update or amend the schedule as appropriate for 2022. Staff has reviewed the fees <br />in place to ensure their ongoing equity and cost recovery ability. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 08-21 (the proposed 2022 Fee Schedule) is attached. Recommended amendments <br />to the ordinance are printed in red. The changes proposed for 2022 are outlined below for your <br />review: <br /> <br /> Temporary Set Up License <br /> Election Filing Fee <br /> Peddler, Solicitor, Transient Merchant <br /> Weed & Mowing Violation <br /> Police Digital Photographs <br /> Police Other Digital Documentation/Video <br /> Water Utility Rates <br /> Sewer Utility Rates <br /> Lateral Service Connection Fees <br /> Interim Use Permit <br /> Vacation (Street, Utility, Drainage) <br /> Tree Preservation Mitigation Fee <br /> <br />The 2022 Fee Schedule Ordinance is presented for council review and first reading. Second <br />reading of the ordinance is planned for the next regular council meeting on November 22, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
