CITY COUNCIL <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1D <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br /> MEETING DATE: November 8, 2021 <br /> TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 21-116, Establishing Polling <br /> Places, 2022 Elections <br /> VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> All cities conducting elections in 2022 are required to adopt a resolution establishing their <br /> polling places before the end of the year preceding. The City of Lino Lakes will administer <br /> a Primary Election on August 91h and the State General Election on November 8, 2022. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The council received a report at the October 11, 2021 work session recommending a change <br /> impacting two polling places beginning in 2022. The council concurred with the <br /> suggestion to designate Lino Lakes Fire Station No. 2 as a new polling place for Precinct 6 <br /> and utilize Living Water Church for polling for Precinct 7. <br /> The attached resolution establishes polling places for all seven City voting precincts for the <br /> 2022 election. <br /> Redistricting will occur in 2022 so staff will continue to monitor that process as well as the <br /> need to update polling place locations and precinct lines for voter convenience and <br /> population changes and will report back to the council in 2022. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 21-116, Establishing Polling Places for the <br /> 2022 Elections. <br /> ATTACHMENTS <br /> Resolution No. 21-116 <br />
