CITY OF LINO LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION NO.21-133 <br /> ACCEPTING BASE BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br /> CRJ/CSAH 49 (HODGSON ROAD)TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the CRJ/CSAH 49 <br /> (Hodgson Road) Trunk Utility Improvements Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated <br /> according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and <br /> CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID <br /> Northdale Construction Company, Inc. $1,233,340.71 <br /> Geislin er& Sons $1,285,500.00 <br /> Park Construction Company $1,325,359.70 <br /> Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $1,349,255.46 <br /> Meyer Contracting, Inc. $1,383,959.90 <br /> Veit& Company, Inc. $1,483,712.00 <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that Northdale Construction Company, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br /> bidder;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the city to proceed with <br /> Base Bid, <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br /> 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br /> Northdale Construction Company, Inc.,in the amount of$1,233,340.71 by the name of the <br /> City of Lino Lakes for the Base Bid construction of the CRJ/CSAH 49 (Hodgson Road) <br /> Trunk Utility Improvements Project according to the plans and specifications approved by <br /> the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br /> Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br /> two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8t'day of November,2021. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember <br /> Stoesz and was duly seconded by Councilmember Lyden and upon vote being taken <br /> thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Cavegn, Stoesz, Lyden, Rafferty <br /> The following voted against same: None (Absent- Ruhland) + <br /> f P <br /> Ro afferty, Nfayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 7jA <br /> e Bartell, City ler <br />
