<br />WS – Item #5 <br /> <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item No. 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Date: February 3, 2020 <br /> <br />To: City Council <br /> <br />From: Michael Grochala, Community Development Director <br />Re: Well House No. 7 Update <br />Background <br /> <br />WSB and Associates and Jeff Oertel of Oertel Architects presented the Well No. 7 feasibility <br />study to the City Council at the December 2, 2019 work session. Following discussion staff <br />proposed to have some additional structural review completed prior to any additional <br />consideration. Additionally, Oertel Architects investigated moving costs further and adjusted <br />the costs by approximately $40,000. This puts the “premium” on the restoration at <br />approximately $150,000 to $200,000 or approximately 15 to 20 %. <br /> <br />Staff will provide an update on the structure engineering at the meeting if available. Based on the <br />information received to-date, staff is not recommending to proceed with the house <br />relocation/conversion. <br /> <br />Requested Council Direction <br /> <br />Staff is requesting direction regarding use of the 509 Birch Street house. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />None.
