CITY COUNCIL
AGENDA ITEM 3A

STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson, City Administrator

MEETING DATE: March 9, 2020

TOPIC: Annual Appointments

VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5

INTRODUCTION

On January 13 the City Council made its annual appointments to the various committees that
council and staff members serve on every year. One of the committee assignments left open
was the Joint Law Enforcement Council, which I suggested could be assigned to the newly-
elected councilmember.

Mayor Rafferty recently indicated he would like to serve as the City’s delegate on the Joint
Law Enforcement Council. Since there are no other committee assignments to be filled, I would
recommend councilmember-elect Tony Cavegn be considered as an alternate to the North
Metro Telecommunications Committee and/or Anoka Co. Fire Protection Council.

RECOMMENDATION

Approve appointments to vacant committee assignments.

2019 2020
1. Acting Mayor Rob Rafferty Dale Stoesz
2.
