The main objective of this department is to develop and <br />promote a safe and secure community. The police serve the community by <br />protecting life and property, preserving peace and order, preventing crime <br />and enforcing all laws and ordinances. The Department is actively pursuing <br />the Community Oriented Policing Philosophy that emphasizes partnerships <br />and community involvement to ensure the successful implementation of the <br />City's vision for public safety services. <br />52
