Agenda <br />City of Lino Lakes <br /> <br />2020 Local Board of Appeal and Equalization <br /> <br />May 4, 2020 <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br /> <br />2. Roll Call <br /> <br />3. Board Chair outlines the ground rules for the meeting: <br /> <br />- Purpose of the meeting is to hear appeals about the valuation of properties that are <br />taxed within the city; <br /> <br />- Property owners are reminded that only appeals for the current year valuation or <br />classification may be made. These are property taxes payable in 2021; <br /> <br />- County Assessor staff will give a brief overview of the property tax process and a <br />recap of the current assessment; <br /> <br />- Those persons who have joined the Zoom meeting who have an appeal will be given <br />the opportunity to speak; <br /> <br />- The county assessor will respond with facts and information on the property in <br />question; <br /> <br />- The Board may approve a motion for a change in valuation; appellants retain their <br />right to also appeal to the Anoka County Board of Equalization. <br /> <br /> <br />4. Recess or Close the Meeting. <br />
