Consider Resolution No. 20-58, Accepting Quotes, <br />Concrete Restoration <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting authorization to accept quotes for the Lift Station No. 5 Forcemain Project <br />Restoration. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On April 27, 2020 the City Council approved a construction contract to install a new forcemain <br />from lift station no. 5 to the gravity sewer in Timberwolf Dr. This work occurred along Snow <br />Goose Circle and Pheasant Hills Drive. The forcemain installation contract intentionally did not <br />include site restoration work. The new forcemain has been installed and area is ready for <br />restoration. <br /> <br />The low quote for pavement restoration was submitted by Bituminous Roadways, Inc. of <br />Mendota Heights, Minnesota, in the amount of $25,200.00. This includes $11,000.00 of trail <br />paving, the remainder is multiple roadway repairs. The low quote for concrete restoration was <br />submitted by CR Fischer & Sons, Inc. of Farmington, Minnesota, in the amount of $10,700.00. <br />This includes a driveway repair and curb and gutter replacement. Funding for the project is from <br />the Water Operating Fund. The City’s public works department will be involved with other <br />portions of the site restoration including landscape and irrigation repairs and sod/seeding. <br /> <br />The start date for this project is the week of June 15, 2020. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolutions No. 20-54 and No. 20-58 accepting quotes for the Lift <br />Station No. 5 Forcemain Project Restoration. <br /> <br /> <br />
