COUNCIL MINUTES <br />DRAFT <br />5 <br />Councilmember Lyden said he will embrace where the council wants to go and he looks forward to 173 <br />the time when the council can again work in the same room; he noted that it’s important to think 174 <br />about how the public will be accommodated. Mr. Karlson mentioned that staff would not be in the 175 <br />room unless they are presenting; they would arrive as their item comes up on the live stream. 176 <br />Councilmember Stoesz suggested allowing the public to participate online but only through 177 <br />telephone. 178 <br /> 179 <br />The council work session of June will be held in person for the councilmembers. Mayor Rafferty 180 <br />asked that visitors be contacted to see if they are able to attend. Some specifics will be worked out 181 <br />by staff. Mayor Rafferty added that he’d like to start seeing managers and directors ret urn to their 182 <br />offices in city hall; they can work with their staff on individual plans. Administrator Karlson 183 <br />remarked that remote plans have been working very well and he’s not in a hurry to bring everyone 184 <br />back; he’d like to continue to minimize the possibility of exposure to the virus. Mr. Karlson noted 185 <br />plans at City Hall as the public and employees are meeting face to face again.
