<br />The City is not currently setting aside funds to purchase fire apparatus scheduled for <br />replacement in the fire apparatus replacement plan. The replacement of fire apparatus is <br />a crucial component of our community’s response readiness and is a significant financial <br />investment. The current schedule calls for Tender 11 and Tender 21 replacement in 2023 <br />and 2024 respectively. The estimated cost of replacement is $555,000 and $570,000, <br />respectively and the age of this apparatus will be 32 years old at the time of replacement. <br /> <br />Staff requests Council direction on how to plan for public safety vehicle and apparatus <br />replacement in a manner that supports the City’s on-going needs and operations, while <br />taking into consideration future budget and levy impacts. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />Debt Service Tax Levy Schedule <br /> <br /> <br />
