<br />WS – Item 8 <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item No. 8 <br /> <br /> <br />Date: July 6, 2020 <br /> <br />To: City Council <br /> <br />From: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues <br /> <br />Re: Chain of Lakes Rotary Proposed Blue Heron Hustle 5K and Family Event <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br />The Chain of Lakes Rotary has submitted an application to host an event in the City of <br />Lino Lakes on August 15, 2020. The proposed events include a 5K run, food trucks, <br />alcohol, raffle and booths from local businesses. <br /> <br />The event host is requesting the use of City property. They have also requested to use a <br />city tent, table, chairs, cones and road barricades. <br /> <br />Historically the City has not allowed events of this type that are not City run events to be <br />held on City property. <br /> <br />The permits/approvals required are as follow: <br /> <br />1. Special Event Permit <br />2. 1-4 Day Temporary Liquor License <br />3. Parade/Run Permit <br />4. LG220 Application for Exempt Gambling Permit <br />5. Anoka County Food Truck License <br />6. Anoka County Approval <br />7. YMCA Approval <br />Due to the current pandemic, a Preparedness Plan will be required. <br />Attachments <br />Special Event Permit and Maps submitted by applicant. <br /> <br />Additional Information <br /> <br />Under the current Executive Order, 20-74, groups of 25 or more are prohibited from <br />gathering through July 13, 2020. <br /> <br />Per City Ordinance 301.05 liquor is allowed during community festivals and as approved <br />by resolution of the City Council. <br />
