CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 2B <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: September 28, 2020 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 20-109, Setting the Date and Time for a <br />Public Hearing for the Proposed 2021 Operating Budget and 2020 <br />Tax Levy, Collectible in 2021 <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Cities with populations over 500 are required to hold a public hearing to receive public input on <br />the proposed levy and general operating budget. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 20-109 sets Monday, December 14, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. during the regularly <br />scheduled City Council meeting as the date for the City’s hearing. Final adoption of the <br />2020/2021 tax levy and 2021 general operating budget is anticipated immediately following the <br />hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 20-109. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 20-109
