CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: September 28, 2020 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Appointment of Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The City Council is being asked to approve the appointment of Teresa Summerbell to the <br />vacant Human Resources Manager position. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />At this time, staff has completed a recruitment process, provided a conditional offer, and is <br />recommending the approval of Teresa Summerbell for the position. <br /> <br />Summerbell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and a Master’s <br />Degree in Business Administration. Summerbell has 13 years of experience in Human <br />Resource Management. <br /> <br />The hourly rate of pay would be $46.71, which is step 5 of the current wage schedule. <br /> <br />With Council’s approval, Summerbell would start in the position of Human Resources <br />Manager on Monday, November 2, 2020. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Approve the appointment of Teresa Summerbell to the Human Resources Manager position. <br /> <br />
