CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 2A (iii) <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Hannah Lynch <br />MEETING DATE: December 14, 2020 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 20-156, Adopting the 2021 Water and <br />Sewer Operating Budgets <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council has reviewed the proposed 2021 Water and Sewer Operating Budgets during their <br />scheduled budget work sessions. It has been the practice of the City Council to adopt the Water and <br />Sewer Operating Budgets by resolution. It should be noted that the budgets include the cost of <br />depreciation of infrastructure as an expense, and recovery of this cost is incorporated into the utility <br />rate structure. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the approval of Resolution No. 20-156. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution No. 20-156
