CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Meg Sawyer, Human Resources and Communications Manager <br />MEETING DATE: January 10, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Consider Appointment of Activity Center Manager <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Council is being asked to approve the appointment of Lisa Hanson Lamey to the newly <br />created Activity Center Manager position for the Rookery Activity Center. <br />BACKGROUND <br />At this time staff has completed the recruitment process, provided a conditional offer <br />contingent upon a complete background check, and is recommending the approval of Lisa <br />Hanson Lamey for the position. <br />Hanson Lamey holds a Master's degree in Health, Leisure, Exercise Sport Science from the <br />University of West Florida. Hanson Lamey has 20 years of experience in recreation facilities <br />operations and programming, with her last two years working as the Director of Operations for <br />Ramsey County Arenas and Golf Courses. <br />The hourly rate of pay would be $42.42, which is step 5 of the current 9 step wage schedule. <br />With the Council's approval, Hanson Lamey would start in the position of Activity Center <br />Manager on Monday, January 31, 2022. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Please approve the appointment of Lisa Hanson Lamey for the Activity Center Manager <br />position. <br />
