CITY OF
LINO KES
To: Katie Larsen
From: Andy Nelson
Date: January 5th, 2022
Environmental Memo
Re: Environmental Board Comments/August 25th, 2021/ Lake Amelia Woods
The Environmental Board, at their August 25th meeting, had the following
recommendations for Lake Amelia Woods:
Env. Comments in blue, dated 10/01 /21, pertain to 9/22/21 Plan Set and 9/24/21
Response Letter.
Applicant's technical memorandum dated 12/10/21.
Env. Comments 1/05/22 in black.
A survey for rare, unique, and significant resources should be performed.
This survey should include a data request to the MN DNR for Natural
Heritage Information System data; preparation of a master list of species
found on site; and information on presence and/or extent of any MN DNR
listed threatened, endangered, or special concern species. If any of the
aforementioned species are identified on the site, their locations should be
mapped as this may impact future work on the lots (lake access locations,
for example).
This is underway and results will be available as needed prior to
construction. The status of the study has been discussed with City staff.
The master species list and mapped locations of water willow have been
received. We are waiting for the NHIS data request response and
acknowledge that there is a backlog with these requests at the DNR.
0 Page 1
