CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />DRAFT <br />21. Secretarial Services Timesaver, Inc. Timesaver, Inc. <br />81 <br />82 3. Council Updates on Boards/Commissions, City Council - <br />83 <br />84 North Metro — Moving to quarterly meetings. <br />85 <br />86 The Rookery Activity Center Update — Public Services Director DeGardner noted a <br />87 recent meeting with CivicRec regarding software; efforts are on an accelerated schedule. <br />88 Fitness equipment that was sold was picked up by last Thursday. The flooring demo has <br />89 begun and Dave's Floor Sanding is starting now on other flooring. Painting is underway. <br />90 Interviews for a center manager (final) will occur this week and staff is hoping to have <br />91 that individual in place perhaps as soon as February 1. <br />92 <br />93 Councilmember Stoesz asked if there's been progress on outdoor signage and Mr. <br />94 DeGardner explained that he's communicating with a vendor(s) on that. Councilmember <br />95 Stoesz asked if Metro iNet is able to work on security camera (system) set up and if the <br />96 fiber is up and running; Mr. DeGardner explained that both items are underway. <br />97 <br />98 Mayor Rafferty remarked that the council sees a lot of the paperwork about the project <br />99 but he thinks it's important to hear these more detailed updates from staff and perhaps to <br />100 see the facility as well. The council indicated that they will visit the center prior to the <br />101 next council meeting (5:30 pm, Monday, January 10tn) <br />102 <br />103 Administrator Cotton remarked that the State had promised to end their advertising of <br />104 available testing at the building but that hasn't fully occurred; she's expressed concern <br />105 but it is up to the state to follow through. <br />106 <br />107 <br />108 <br />109 <br />110 <br />111 <br />112 <br />113 <br />114 <br />115 <br />116 <br />117 <br />118 <br />119 <br />120 <br />121 <br />Staff will also be having a conversation about the opening date of April lst and what <br />elements are possible. <br />4.
