Name
Half
Court
Full
Court
Hockey
Rink Pond Rink Comments
Andria Mattlin X X
Please do not install a full-size court. Because this park is in our development, it would be nice to keep
the traffic and groups at a minimum. There are several residents who already maintain rinks on the ponds.
I believe we have 4 skating areas on ponds right now. I do not think a rink is needed as it would add to
the outside traffic and groups.
Caitlin Ternes X X
1. 1/2 court basketball court would be appropriate
2. A hockey rink would be great. What are the odds of the city providing lights to the rink? I would rather
not see the HOA clear a rink on the pond, they do not do the best job of clearing snow on sidewalks and I
feel like that would carry over onto a pond. Alsol several residents already clear rinks on the ponds and
invite neighborhood residents to use those rinks.
Casey Bashier X I like the idea of a half court for basketball, and no hockey rink (the neighbors are clearing off the ponds
all the time).
Cheri Eck X X
My input would be for a 1/2 size basketball court. I feel with a full size court you would be opening it up
for people out of the area to come in and use. I think when you have outsiders coming in it adds to crime
instances and people loitering around.
I also think the shallower ponds are better for ice rinks. Many of the residents in Watermark are already
using them for hockey rinks. I would prefer not to look at boards all year round.
Dan Musser X X
#1 - 1/2 size basket ball court
#2 - no hockey rink. There are currently 3 on the ponds and are underutilized. If a homeowner were
interested; i'd suggest they work through HOA to clear on pond.
David & Megan
Mastell X
I think a half basketball court is plenty for the neighborhood.
Also, a hockey rink may not work since most of the winter months are dark and we would need lights in
order to really utilize it. I would love it myself but without lights, it’s useless.
Is it possible to expand the actual playground space? We will have well over 1,000 children in the
neighborhood and the one playground that we have now can’t accommodate the amount of kids we
have now. I’m not sure how much the open lawn space would get used other than by people on walks
with dogs. The playground could be expanded into the open lawn space and actually benefit a lot of the
children giving them a lot more space to play especially with the amount of children we foresee using it.
Dennis X
My votes are:
½ size basketball court
No Hockey rink
I would recommend a Bocce Ball court
Dennis & Judy
Adams X
With many ponds within the Watermark division, I do not think it is necessary to build a hockey rink.
Also, a full size basketball court would be better than a half court, as this is a LARGE development and full
size can accommodate more people.
