One improvement would be adding pedestrian crossing signals. He sees that staff <br /> 48 prefers a roundabout and also has a schedule to follow. He wonders if the necessary <br /> 49 conversations with property owners has begun; staff indicated some discussion is <br /> 50 underway. <br /> 51 <br /> 52 Mayor Rafferty asked about costs involved with a signal. Staff said, in general,the <br /> 53 signal represents added costs. The mayor said he will be very interested to hear what the <br /> 54 area property owners have to say. <br /> 55 <br /> 56 2. Redistricting and Voting Precincts—City Clerk Bartell reviewed a PowerPoint <br /> 57 presentation that included information on the following <br /> 58 - Overview of redistricting process; <br /> 59 - Possible impact on City voting districts; <br /> 60 - Timeline for consideration. <br /> 61 <br /> 62 City Clerk Bartell then reviewed the City's current voting precinct map and discussed <br /> 63 possible changes. <br /> 64 <br /> 65 Information on city precincts, including a map with a change proposed to Precinct 5, was <br /> 66 reviewed. The council directed staff to prepare for the change to Precinct 5 while <br /> 67 awaiting redistricting information. <br /> 68 <br /> 69 3.
