One improvement would be adding pedestrian crossing signals. He sees that staff <br />prefers a roundabout and also has a schedule to follow. He wonders if the necessary <br />conversations with property owners has begun; staff indicated some discussion is <br />underway. <br />Mayor Rafferty asked about costs involved with a signal. Staff said, in general, the <br />signal represents added costs. The mayor said he will be very interested to hear what the <br />area property owners have to say. <br />2. Redistricting and Voting Precincts — City Clerk Bartell reviewed a PowerPoint <br />presentation that included information on the following <br />- Overview of redistricting process; <br />- Possible impact on City voting districts; <br />- Timeline for consideration. <br />City Clerk Bartell then reviewed the City's current voting precinct map and discussed <br />possible changes. <br />Information on city precincts, including a map with a change proposed to Precinct 5, was <br />reviewed. The council directed staff to prepare for the change to Precinct 5 while <br />awaiting redistricting information. <br />3.
