CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 11 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Swenson, Public Safety Director <br />MEETING DATE: February 14, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Acceptance Monetary Donation for Police Equipment <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department is requesting council approval to accept a monetary <br />donation from the Coss Family Foundation for the purchase of police equipment. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Coss Family Foundation has made previous monetary donation to the City of Lino Lakes in <br />support of the police canine program within the Public Safety Department. This foundation would <br />like to donate $20,000 for the purchase of needed police equipment. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends Council accept a monetary donation in the amount of $20,000 for the purchase <br />of police equipment. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />None <br />
